How I'd rewrite Gwevin, taking influence from Zuko earning Team Avatar's trust in Book 3 of ATLA.

It's no secret to everyone that Gwevin had a very shaky foundation going in, both in-universe and out, especially judging from the recent posts about them. Omniverse didn't lessen this point with flashbacks showing Gwen visibly being attracted to Kevin despite how he was a mutant alien monster trying to kill her, Ben and Max the year before.
Yet, regardless of that, they went on to be the most stable and prominent couple in the entire franchise, aside from preexisting relationships. Even better handled than all of Ben's relationships, too.
How I'd personally rewrite their relationship is having Gwen, similar to Ben early on, being very suspicious of Kevin's actions since they're a team of circumstance. Kevin's Big Score would have an additional scene at the end, with Gwen threatening Kevin if he ever does something as despicable as before again.
All That Glitters wouldn't have any Gwevin moments and be primarily centered on Gwen being manipulated by Mike Morningstar, with Kevin shown in the background being disturbed by it.
Save the Last Dance would be the definitive Gwevin episode, with Gwen going to Kevin as a last resort because all the guys in her school are occupied with their dates instead of Gwen seemingly going to him first. This episode would be the moment Gwen gets a crush on him and realizes he's really changed from the past and is the equivalent of the Zuko and Katara hug at the end of The Southern Raiders after a season and a half of their shaky ground.
War of the Worlds: Part 2 would have a scene at the end where Kevin officially asks Gwen out (even if it's an unconventional date to the car autoshow), and she obviously accepts it. The relationship would stay largely unchanged after this for the rest of the franchise, and obviously, the Omniverse flashbacks wouldn't have any scenes about Gwen having a crush on Kevin it makes more sense.
What do you think of this small rewrite? Could it have worked out?
