Speed scaling should not use metaphysical things to calculate speed
alright this might be a bit complicated so let me use an example. Why? this is because the authors for one don't care about scaling and two it looks cool and as per the rule of cool the physics of whatever thing you are discussing is irrelevant HOWEVER what can be scaled is things like the speed of cars or trains or even a jet because these things are something man made that have a base speed that even the author knows about because they likely rode on a car or train before and therefore have the knowledge to show it in whatever show or manga they are writing. is kashimos lightning actually lightning fast? probably not, are any lightbeams from most shows or animes actually light speed? probably not THOUGH that is not to say they arent lightspeed in their verse in that maybe they are considered lightspeed however their lightspeed doesnt travel at 299792458 m/s it travels at half that speed or even a quarter.
