Imu's eye theory (Chapter 1183)

I might be reaching here, but chapter 1183 made me think about the eye pattern again.

We have Imu’s eyes, Mihawk’s eyes, and now the similarity people pointed out with Shuri / Rain God imagery. Oda repeating a very specific circular eye design this many times feels intentional.

What if this is not just a visual motif but an ancient bloodline?

My theory is: this bloodline is not necessarily stronger, but it acts as a “key” or vessel.

We know Roger reached Laugh Tale and still said they were “too early”. That always bothered me because reaching the island should have been enough if One Piece was only treasure.

What if it isn’t?

Maybe Laugh Tale / One Piece requires several conditions:

  • Nika / Joy Boy return (Luffy)
  • Ancient Weapons (Poseidon etc.)
  • Someone who can read history (Robin / Poneglyph side)
  • AND someone from this eye bloodline

Imagine if the eye users can interact with something others cannot: ancient memory, inherited will, world mechanism, whatever One Piece actually is.

Then Roger failed because the “key set” wasn’t complete yet.

This could also explain Imu potentially surviving for centuries if the eye bloodline can act as vessels.

And if Mihawk belongs to that lineage somehow… Oda has been hiding it in plain sight for 1000+ chapters.

Probably crack theory territory, but the repeated eye design keeps bothering me.
