A little background. I have contructed both of these from the schematics provided. The amplifier made with the TDA2030a works brilliantly. I have then made the tone control circuit with the TL074 as the op amp. Powered it up no bang fantastic.
As these both work from different voltages, 5v for the tone control and 12v for the amplifier I also made a circuit that gives those voltages using L7805 and L7812. Powered up the amplifier and it does as it should. Powered up the tone control, no smoke fantastic.
Once connected together, I have the dreaded hum.
But it would play music and the hum would dissappear (sort of), the tone control does work (brilliant!) But whens the pots are being turned it brings back the hum.
I am a hobbyist who has self taught with help from the Internet, and would really appreciate any help from the electronic wizards contained (hopefully) in the this reddit! Thank you, sorry for the long read
