Why Anthropic releases Mythos to the public? Easy answer !

Since last year all dev companies claim "Our code is now 100% written by AI". True?

For the past weeks they realize openly how messed up AI code really is - because lets be honst - what these Llms produce is shiny outside but please don't look under the hood! I warned you.

So we all notice that OPUS 4.7 was a downgrade, and OPUS 4.8 is not much better... Right?
Hmmm what was this "100% coded by AI..."?
Ahh thats the reason.

So let me guess - MYTHOS was their latest model that was human hand developed - and thats why it works so good. While they improved OPUS so fast using AI that now they realize ... Sh*t ... 4.9 will be absolutly worthless - and the only real model we can "upgrade" ... Is MYTHOS !

Hi everyone,

I’m a solo developer looking for a realistic way to sell a small desktop software product globally.

The product is called TubeLedger. It is a desktop app for YouTube creators / channel owners. It uses the official YouTube API with OAuth to fetch subtitles/captions and comments from channels the user owns or manages, then stores that data locally so the user can search, archive, export, and analyze it offline.

Important clarification: TubeLedger is not a YouTube video/audio downloader, not a stream ripper, not a scraper, not an engagement bot, and it does not bypass access controls. It only works with authorized API access to the user’s own or managed channel data.

My problem is payments / merchant approval.

I’m a German national, but I emigrated to the Philippines 11 years ago and I’m legally resident here. I can provide ID, proof of residence, bank details, etc.

The product is still in development, so I do not yet have a polished landing page or product video. I’m trying to figure out the payment/licensing stack before I build the final checkout, license activation, and delivery flow.

So far:

- Lemon Squeezy was not a fit because they wanted materials like a public product page / product video.

- FastSpring declined after a short product description and said my product is not something they are licensed to process transactions for.

- Stripe is not directly available for Philippine-based businesses.

- I would prefer a Merchant of Record if possible, because I don’t want to handle global VAT/sales tax myself from day one.

What I need:

- global checkout for a small desktop software product,

- one-time software license or digital download,

- ideally license key or webhook support,

- tax/VAT handling if possible,

- payouts to someone legally resident in the Philippines.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation?

Which providers are actually realistic for a small independent software developer outside the US/EU? Creem, Dodo Payments, Gumroad, Paddle, PayPal Business, Payhip, something else?

I’m not trying to bypass rules or hide anything. I just need to know where a small compliant desktop software product can actually be sold today.
