[Delaware] Writing appeal letter to Unemployment Denial. Do I explain my reason?
My mom was on work restrictions due to a work injury and previously her job had given her accommodations that enabled her to continue doing her job. They said they couldn't accommodate those restrictions anymore and put her on medical leave.
She had previously had been on medical leave on and off for this injury (after the initial fall, procedures, ect) and at this point she was given a letter stating that she had to find another position that she could do in her home department before the days they allow you to be out of work was exhausted or she would be removed from payroll.
She was able to find only one position which did not work out. And could not find another position by the deadline of when she would be removed from payroll.
Now, her Unemployment claim was denied and it states that she abandoned her employment without notice. The letter states that her employer gave the reason for separation as voluntary quit due to health reasons.
How can they say that?
I'm trying to help her write her appeal for the denial from unemployment.
