paper job application in the mailbox

Hey,
I live in Frankfurt, and I am currently searching for jobs in software,
there is this company with a job that matches exactly my profile, and actually I am over qualified.
I also meet the language requirements, yet I received a rejection.
the company's has an office near my current work place it is where the job is open too.

is it okay if I drop my resume and work certificates in their mail box?

Arbeitslosengeld

Company cutting costs out of financial difficulties,
By the time the employment ends I will I have been only employed for 11 months during my stay in Germany (which is about 16 months)
So I am not eligible for unemployment benefits because I am one month short

Has any one come across a similar situation and has any tips?
