Basically the title - how does the Scoring system work?
Before anyone starts talking about KO-s, etc, I am not asking regarding the obvious - there is something, that sometimes inflates scores. It has happened to me thrice.
2+ million score from a single race, on Hiroshi, I was new at the game back then, so i just quit for the night and dropped the rest of the races.
2+ million score from a single race again, on Gabriel, totaled to almost 4.3 million score by the time i got to the last race of the long score challenge, only to end up losing it on the very last corners due to a crash during overdrive. The score would have put me in the top 20 score leaderboard if I had closed it out.
Over a million score on Gregor, who I was playing only to unlock his long score skin (got my leaderboard time, without getting the skin unlock, which is hillarious, but also a bug) Closed out run put me #186 on the leaderboard, with 2.7 million score.
I do not find any consistency between these events. And they shouldnt be happenstance - I have sunk most of my time playing long score challenges with Ritsuko and Akane, and this has never occured to me on them.
So, anyone got an idea as to what misteriously inflates scores?
