I photographed this Eastern Garter Snake (Thamnophis sirtalis) during a walk in Hennepin County, Minnesota. It was active during the late afternoon and appeared to be basking near the edge of a grassy area. I was particularly interested in the variation in its stripe coloration compared to other individuals I've seen in the region. Has anyone else observed similar color patterns in Eastern Garter Snakes from Minnesota or neighboring states
