I purchased a machine from China that is 220-240v and I need to change the plug to a Nema 6-20p. The wire colors are not standard and I just want to make sure that I am taking the appropriate precautions in this case.

If I understand correctly:

N - Green
Earth Ground ⏚ - Yellow
L - Brown

When I switch to the new plug:

Neutral - Yellow
Hot 1 - Brown
Hot 2 - Green
