Flying into Germany with film?
Hi everyone. I'm going to be visiting my family in August and would love to take some film with me there (or potentially buy some if I see it). I'll be flying from ATL to Munich and then back from Munich to ATL. I know that x-rays can damage the film and everyone says to ask the agents to hand check it.
I'm not worried about that happening in the states but I'm nervous to ask in Germany because of the language barrier for one (I only know very basic German), and I've heard that German agents specifically will say no if you ask to hand check. I've also heard of film going thru x ray scanners and being fine.
Anyway does anyone have any advice or experience with flying with film in Germany (especially Munich) specifically? I was considering possibly just sending it through the scanner but the CT scanners being more common is concerning me.
