Bought this truck and the issue was lack of ac. The AC does come on upon starting and stays cold while truck is idle. Then cold air stops working as soon as start moving.

Bought Freon with the pressure tester and it was under 25 psi, added Freon to normal levels. Didn’t have any effect.

The compressor (?) seems to make a whistling noise and seems to go away when air stops working. I’ve read several forums about complaints of compressor going out, but they’re all dated when this truck came out. It seems like trucks left the factory with faulty compressors and it caused some back order issues. I haven’t seen anything recent though. This truck has 60k miles.

Does this sound like a failing compressor? How much could the repair cost?
