Hi there, I have been suffering from PPD for the past two years. It first began on my legs and slowly spread to all over my calves, thighs, buttocks, arms, and is now creeping to my midriff- it feels like invasive english ivy lol :( . I was diagnosed with PPD by two dermatologists, both were unsure what to do and gave me several samples of moisturizers to try, and they all have just given me more patches, likely due to a compromised skin barrier not taking the occlusivity well. My only breakthough over these couple of years has been a 12% Glycolic AHA lotion by Alpha Skin, but after trying for a few weeks ALSO gave me more spots. I do think though that the pigmentation faded at first from the acids properties, which gives me hope. I was also recommended laser therapy and a tanning bed, but as a pale ginger and broke college student I value both my finances and skin protection more than I do getting rid of this condition which for now, is purely cosmetic. If anyone has ANYTHING, even just a comment saying you're struggling too would make me feel much less alone, PPE has taken a significant toll on my confidence.
