Rear / forward facing car seat

Hello!

I was just wondering when people generally switched their child from rear to forward facing in the car.

Im in no rush to swing my baby around, but I was just curious.

My mom is old school and keeps saying i should switch my daughter to forward facing. But i would rather leave her rear as long as possible. She's only 12.5m and 22lb.

My cousins who live in other countries, flipped their kids around by the time they were 12 months old. But they live in the Caribbean so I know it's not as strict as Canada, where I live.

Thank you 😊

Edit - just for reference.. I have a Evenflo Revolve360 Rotational All-In-One Convertible Car Seat. The company recommends rear facing until atleast 40-50lb. So I can spin her when the time comes. She's just tall but slim. She just turned 1 and her legs are already folded up 🤦🏽‍♀️😂
