I was searching around and stumbled on "Pax Silica" — turns out it's a pretty recent update (like 2 days old): the Philippines and the US just finalized a draft framework for an AI hub in New Clark City. It's part of a bigger US-led initiative (Pax Silica) that helps member countries — 24 now, including us — build out their own AI/semiconductor supply chain infrastructure.

As a CS student, I'm genuinely curious what this could mean for the local job market. Could this create more networking/infra roles here in the Philippines, or is the bigger benefit mostly on the manufacturing/critical minerals side?

Has anyone else read about this? Do you think this is a big deal for our local AI industry, or is it too early to expect much from it?

Working on a project where an agent needs to answer questions about pricing pages and docs that update often, so a static vector index goes stale fast. Right now I'm calling a search API per query, scraping the top few URLs, then feeding that into the LLM, but rate limits get hit quickly at scale, scraping breaks on JS-heavy pages, and the combined cost of search + scrape + LLM calls adds up fast without aggressive caching. Anyone found an API that bundles search with already-parsed page content in one call instead of stitching together separate search and scraping providers, and how does the pricing compare?

The biggest lesson I learned is that brands care more about authenticity than perfect equipment, so do not wait until you have professional gear before reaching out.
