Hey everyone, I’m an ECE student entering 3rd year with CG around 6–6.5 and one backlog (will clear it soon). I’ve recently gotten interested in VLSI/semiconductor side and I’m trying to figure out what I should realistically do from now.

How much do CGPA/backlogs affect internships, placements, off-campus opportunities and MS later on? And what skills/projects should I focus on now if I want to build a strong VLSI profile?Should I consider gate?

Would really appreciate honest advice from seniors or people in the field

Hey everyone, I recently finished my 4th sem in ECE and honestly I’m confused about what to do next. I wanted to ask seniors whether GATE is worth preparing for or if doing Masters in Germany/abroad is a better option and which specialization in ECE actually has good scope in the future. Since I’m on holidays right now, I also wanted suggestions for any free certification courses, internships, projects, or useful skills I can start learning to improve my profile and make proper use of this time. Any advice or roadmap would really help, thanks.
