sometimes when scrolling through this subreddit, i wish to see others with large scale burn scars to feel less lonely. so maybe others want to see the same? idk but here are my scars 💞 27% 3rd degree burns, 1.5yrs old!
f24. around a year ago i was burned in a house fire, 3rd degree burns, 1/3 of my body. they arent minor scars at all. but im tired of hiding. my scars can be easily hidden with clothes but i don’t want to do that anymore!!! i want to wear shorts and say f it, this is me. im even private on instagram bc i feel kinda ashamed of who i am and what i look like now. i feel like im belittling myself and holding myself back. i want to wear a bikini and i want to be able to post my legs confidently, and not care if my ops know what happened to me, and just be sooo authentically and sorryfree myself. ive even contemplated posting this. but this is who i am, a burn survivor, i have burn scars, i went through something lifechanging, and i will not let that hold me back. i hope this post is allowed? anyway, ground turkey, cottage cheese, avocado, hot honey, sweet potato
