My husband and I have struggled with his alcohol use our entire marriage. It has gone up and down over the years and he uses it as a coping mechanism. A little over a year ago he did a sobriety program and was sober for a while but he wanted to lessen his drinking and not be completely sober so after a while he started drinking again but at a lesser amount. Over the last few months he has been hiding his drinking from me and today I found out that he had been completely hiding from me for over a month. Purchasing alcohol on a credit card and I became aware of it today. I feel immense betrayal and bitterness and I am thinking of leaving. Is there any true way to recover from this?
