Earlier today I got the News that I was accepted into UVA, but feel really conflicted about whether I should go or not or stay at Emory. I also applied to USC Marshall but have not heard back yet

I applied to Emory due to a lack of social life and the school just not offering much in terms of spirit. The school and campus is also somewhat small so it has been harder to make friends. I really liked Emory initially due to it being near Atlanta and a really nice campus, but I think my values have changed since I arrived there. While I am less lonely now than when I applied I still don’t know if staying at Emory is the college experience I want. One thing keeping me Is the business program, which I have been accepted to. I have also made more connections that makes me feel bad about potentially leaving

UVA wasn’t my top choice and I wasn’t strongly considering it, but now that I’m in i feel differently. It is closer to home and more of my friends colleges I know it has a more spiritful vibe with sports and a better social scene, but since I applied as a Econ major I don’t know if it is worth me leaving since I am in no way gauranteed into getting into Mcintire school of commerce. I am interested in Consulting and while I could still work in business, Emory definitely has more opportunities and will be an easier path. I’m also Black and Have heard UVA is pretty segregated racislly
