Built my PC in 2020, now she's slow and uses a lot of memory. I can't afford upgrades. Please help me troubleshoot and address slowdowns!
Built her with COVID stimulus money, she's been a good PC. I don't play anything (imo) graphically dense to make her chug.
On task manager, it says there are multiple tabs/windows open, but there is only one. Same with Steam. Apps like Signal, Discord, Slack all take what I think is way too much memory. I can't attach images, but right now the only things open are this Google tab, steam (downloads paused cause it was making it even slower), and task manager. She's still using a third of my 16gb of ram. Google apparently has 14 tabs open (?), steam has 7, and I don't know how to stop that. Please help me make my computer move at a decent pace.
