Soo… I just recently broke my steam deck and I’m looking into building a pc, I want to start with getting the terraria case from star forge, but not sure about what parts synergies with each other.. I’ve kinda learned the names of each component but the brand and market naming is confusing other than knowing ddr5 means this year ram.. I’m not sure if I can drop money on the ryzen 7 9800 and get the rest of the stuff cheap or do the parts have to match that ryzen chip? (I won’t actually do it I just remembered that name and it’s just an example of what I mean)
And is the mounting points in the case universal or do they only work with 1 brand of parts ? And do I need that big power supply box with like 10 wires sticking out of it?
Edit: I forgot to specify I’m not looking for high end, dropping 5k in one weekend kind of pc I’m just looking to build a pc under maybe $800 (components only not extras) because I was playing Minecraft and really deep into this pixelmon/galacticraft modpack I was doing with my little bro and now I don’t have anything to play on at all… I’d also like it to run at least helldivers AT steam deck performance, I didn’t mind helldivers on steam deck
