Hello, first time picking up this game so I apologize if this has been a common question to answer, but I'm having issues understanding how cheats work in this game. I turned it on last night after finding a copy and I wanted to immediately play spider-man (I know it kinda defeats the purpose of just giving myself everything, but I'm still going to enjoy the game), but after entering the code to unlock all characters. I beat the first two stages and saved. Turned off my ps2 and went to bed. Next morning I boot it up and spider-man is gone as well as all the other special characters. So I make a character and enter the 100% current character cheat to "unlock" spider-man. I then started a new career, but saved over the "100%". Turned off then back on and spidey was missing again. So I just got done doing this rigamaroll a 3rd time. Played the first stage to 100% completion, saved career, exited to main menu, saved from the options menu in a different slot.

My main and only question is this; Is it possible to enter cheats (the character unlock or 100% a save file) and KEEP the characters? Like the whole reason I wanted to play this game was to A. Enjoy one of the better Tony hawk experiences and B. PLAY AS MY FAVORITE SUPERHERO ON A SKATEBOARD. Am I wasting my time? I'm pretty mid when it comes to these games hence why I thought using cheats wasnt gonna add to the hassle. Again my apologies if this has been asked into oblivion I just need a simple "yeah you can keep em, here's how" or a "no, you gotta legitimately 100% your create a character in order to forever unlock the webbed warrior".
