Got beat up defending a friend

We were leaving the bar and grabbing food at the stand outside. I was in the back of the crowd. A group of 4/5 mostly guys tried to cut the line. My friend protested and the girlfriend of that group slapped my buddy and they got in his face (this is what I was told). Two guys we know pulled my buddy back and I tried to as well (I was literally eating and had no idea what was happening). He pushed us off and called out the one guy.

Two of the guys stepped up to me and got in my face. Then they all 3(or 4 idk) guys surrounded my friend and started hitting him. I hit one of them and he fell back. Then his friend clocked me from the side and I lost my balance. The other guy decked me and jump on me punching. He knocked me down again as I stood up. Then I kicked him off. Multiple guys punched and stomped my friend. I picked up my friend and dragged him across the street. Everyone involved just left immediately.

The whole thing was so fucking stupid. Mostly fine just a bit bruised and cut. I'm mad at those people, my buddy, and our other friends who did basically nothing. I have some kick boxing training. But losing like that hurt my pride and feeling a little emasculated.

Cofounder Offer

Got an offer from a one man company. I think the idea is solid but that doesn't matter. It may not even work who knows. He has prior business ownership experience. I have 10 years of software development experience. He basically paid 100k to vibe code an app and paid some developers part time to glue it together. It looks pretty, but there's a lot of things that don't work. Only 1/5 essential features works and so far only on demo data.

He offering me a six figure salary, no benefits, 12%, and an aggressive vesting schedule. I make more almost double the salary. Considering he's pre product, pre revenue, pre seed. I want 20% as I feel like that's true Co founder level equity. I was willing to compromise on salary (with an eventual ramp). Or 15% equity with more salary.

He's got a VC in his his ear who hasn't even given him money giving him advice. He wants to go with what's "standard". Who here is being unrealistic?

Sweden Avoid The Ordningsvakter

So I've spent the last 9 days in Scandinavia. It's absolutely gorgeous up here. Great food, cool cities, smooth transportation, interesting culture. Generally I have felt extremely safe.

That was until I encountered the ordningsvakter in Stockholm. If you are not familiar they are state run security guards. They patrol nightclubs and the subway. They dress like janitors with badges.

Another gentleman and I were asked to leave a nightclub for being "drunk". I had 5 drinks total and we were just standing there talking to a couple girls. His buddy grabbed the other guy and threw him up the stairs. His buddy returned quickly. I assured him I wasn't drunk but really just walked out. I used to bounce a little back in the day. I just got the vibe they were planning to beat the shit out of me. I'm not just saying that.

I'm not sure if I should be surprised that the only time I felt unsafe across three countries is interacting with a super rent a cop.
