‘The Gift of Life’

‘The Gift of Life’
Compressed charcoal and graphite on paper
100 x 70cm

Light rises from deep, still waters, where edges soften and dissolve into the dark. A single line marks the centre — a quiet map of endurance, and of a precious second chance. What appears as a scar is in truth a gateway: the place where life began again.
Grounded in gratitude and anchored to the present, this figure carries more than just survival. He carries the joy of years he was never meant to see, and the love of two lives that would not exist without the ultimate gift of another.
Beneath the poetry lies a simple truth: organ transplantation does not only save a life. It creates a future, a family, and a legacy of love.

The Duality Gaze - Compressed Charcoal & Graphite on Paper

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share a piece I completed last year titled "The Duality Gaze".

Working entirely in compressed charcoal and graphite, my aim was to explore the raw intensity of human emotion and the complexity of perception. I’m fascinated by the challenge of capturing texture, light, and moisture – trying to create an image that feels not just visually realistic, but emotionally alive.

This piece really pushed my technical skills, especially rendering the skin details, the sheen, and the tears. It’s one of the works I’m most proud of in my portfolio.

I hope you like it!
