I cannot get past the "ACCESS EXPIRED" message in autocad

Help! I renewed my license and installed the latest version of AutoCAD but i cannot get past the "ACCESS EXPIRED" message.

i have a suspicion that i need to log out and log back in the app but i cannot press the drop-down menu at the top left because the "access denied" message wont go away
