Beyerdynamic mmx 330 pro open sounding mediocre or even below mid
Hello guys. To get this straight, I’m not some audio guru or expert, however my ears can at least recognise great audio. I’m gamer and also music enjoyer, so for many years I used gaming headsets from Logitech, which was not great, but not terrible due to their quite good EQ. But recently I bought Logitech G pro x 2 Lightspeed and I was shocked they didn’t have advanced EQ, which disappointed me and EQs made from their community also disappointed me with it’s audio quality. So I returned them and bought beyerdynamic mmx 330 pro which I heard a lot of praise especially on sound quality. But once I tried them I was really disappointed with it’s sound quality. I saw on another thread that a lot of people is buying DAC, because apparently their MB can’t process the ohm that those headphones has (48) and I have this one - TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI. I’m not sure if this is the reason for the mediocre sound, but I expected much more from quite expensive headset and especially brand like Beyerdynamic. I tried to use third party EQs as Peace and APO, but as I said I tried it but I’m not expert and don’t really know what to do to make it sound good. Also when I tried to play for example counter strike 2, I was shocked that it was SO quiet, so I tried to amplified it with those EQs, but it decreased the sound quality further. Can someone advise me on this. I’m lost and really disappointed with the headphones.
