box for repairs or not?

as the title says my landlady threw out my shoes when i confronted her about it, her answer was "i was throwing out my kids' shoes and yours had a hole in them". the hole was almost invisible you would only see it if you knew it was there. Best way to get revenge?

My school confiscated my phone and like me 30 more students were affected, after some research i found that schools are only legally allowed to keep confiscated items until the end of the school day, what should i do and what is the next step. Can i get a lawyer to send a legal notice telling they can't keep it?
