Going 3 months in Nepal

Hello I am going to Nepal and I am trying to buy a travel insurance not expensive ...most of the company they insurance you only for 30 days or 45 days but I do need one for three months ...and when I find one as World Nomad they ask me around $1500 dollars ..I do will not do many trekking but I was thinking to do a trekking in Manuslu circuit ..but I can see that I cannot get a permit if I don't have a travel insurance ...do I really need such expensive travel insurance ?? Any chance that someone can help me with that ...I saw some insurance company they charge around $300 for 45 days if you are apply for annual trip,.please help

The last I went to Nepal was in 1999 , and be honest I don't remember much , I got still some photos of Kathmandu valley, Pokhara etc...this time I want go there for trekking , even if at the moment I am out of form, and I am looking for also some nice village to live close to Phokara or some nice place ..I want a quite place not really crowded..any tips ?? Any tips for Manaslu circuit, Annapurna, Tsun valley or any valley that doesn't come into my mind ...I really will appreciate your help and thanks so much in advance
