Carnivore Postpartum

I just had a baby almost 4 weeks ago! I quite honestly gained too much weight while pregnant (80lbs😳) but have managed to lose almost half of that weight (37lbs) from birth until now. I know carnivore would likely help me lose more and hopefully the rest. Are there any issues I could potentially run into or other perks? Like would my milk supply be affected? And would it help balance my hormones? Any info is greatly appreciated:) I was keto for 6 months 2 years ago and felt great. The only reason I stopped was some digestive issues. Hoping it wouldn’t be like that going carnivore!

When to introduce a bottle?

Hi moms! I will be a mom in a few days and have a question in regards to feeding!! I plan on breastfeeding and was wondering when a good time is to introduce a bottle would be? I would be breastfeeding most of the time (hopefully) and the bottles would be for my husband to help me out if I need extra sleep or to do something. I’ve read a few people’s personal anecdotes on nipple confusion and now I’m experiencing nipple confusion 😵‍💫 lol. When did you start introducing bottles to your little one? How did they take to them and did it make them reject your breast at all? tyia :)

Preeclampsia?

Hi crunchy moms! I’m currently 36w+5 and I had been tested for preeclampsia at my visit a few days ago. My doctor noticed extreme swelling in my feet (which I chalked up to be from walking all day 2 days prior) and my blood pressure was in a healthy range but higher than normal. I was a bit nervous because I was getting weighed and they did the bp immediately after so maybe that’s why it was high? I got a call yesterday from a midwife that I am not preeclamptic but I am getting there (259 was where I’m at and 300+ means preeclampsia). My liver enzymes are great though she said . I am so nervous and they say there’s nothing I can do and we just have to wait it out and see. Is that really true? I’m so devastated I have a birth center birth planned and if I’m preeclamptic obviously I can’t do that. I am afraid of hospitals and I’ve never had a medical emergency in my life. I know worrying will do nothing and I’m really trying to not worry but I can’t help it. Does anyone have any advice to help manage this? Or can anyone relate? I feel like I’m failing my baby and my body right now. Any help is appreciated tyia!

Bath Filter

Hello! Having a baby soon. I was wondering if anyone had any filter recommendations specifically for the bath rather than the shower. I got one off of Amazon for my husband and I and truly I don’t know if it works. Water filters truly are not something I grasp I guess and I really just feel like I need to be told what to buy at this point. I’m going crazy lol

TYIA!

(I would also take shower recommendations too as I’m not sure if there’s something better I could be using. But mostly for the tub faucet for my baby!)

Baby Socks

Hello! I’m having a baby soon and am looking for 100% organic cotton, merino wool or any other natural fiber socks for my baby. Not sure where to look. Everything I find is a blend with spandex or nylon or polyester. Any help is appreciated thank you :)

Plastic Free Countertop Water Purifier

Hello! My husband and I have a reverse osmosis water purifier that we’ve been liking a lot. We used to buy glass bottles of water but it just became too expensive. The carafe is glass but the part you put water into is plastic and it’s really starting to freak me out. Does anyone have any suggestions for water purifiers they like without plastic? We live in an apartment so countertop is what we need- unless there’s an alternative option I’m missing! Thank you in advance.

Hi crunchy ladies! My mom is kind enough to throw me a baby shower. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to where to look for a maternity dress that is at least 90% cotton or viscose or something not plastic. I got one on amazon :/ and to be honest I don’t love it. I would love to wear something a little fancy looking but even if someone can suggest ideas on how to make something not so fancy fit for the occasion. The shower is cowboy themed :) I will be 34 weeks pregnant when the party is if that is relevant. Any and all suggestions are helpful! TYSM!
