What is the most overrated feature in a new garage?

Every time I start planning a garage build, I see the same things recommended over and over.

  • Epoxy floors.
  • Massive workbenches.
  • Extra high ceilings.
  • Fancy lighting.
  • Built-in cabinets.
  • Floor drains.

Some people swear they're must-haves. Others say they barely use them.

So I'm curious:

What's a garage feature that everyone seems to recommend, but after living with it, you realized wasn't really worth the money?

And on the otherside, what's something you almost skipped but now couldn't live without?
