My Iron lung bucket is finally done
Took wayyy too long on this. But if anyone is looking for ideas on how to pull it off, here’s my process:
- first i yoinked off the regal logo with a pocket knife and sanded the entire thing to get rid of print lines (this took ages, i inhaled so much mirco plastics and i gave up on the body of the eel, but the blood is pretty much prefect)
- i then used Das Stone Clay to fill in the gap where the logo was and to further smooth out the blood
-let that dry between layers of clay and after a full 24hrs i did a black spray primer
-after that, its all cheapo apple barrel acrylic paint. A color tip for ya: use some blue in your blood colors, for darker shadows use even more blue. And the teeth are a creamy yellow with a lavender shading on the inner side of each of them.
- lastly is a high gloss glaze sealant
All this stuff you can get at walmart, any off brand will work, although i did splurge on the clay but its not necessary.
