Shopping.

I should have started shopping for a Z4 months ago. Now that I’m interested and ready to commit, every time a dealer claims to have found a car, it’s allocated to some other dealer who won’t give it up. I’ve given a deposit to one dealer - who’s already told me that the first car he found was sold to someone else. Now I’m waiting to find out they can swap for a second car that they’ve found - but is allocated to another dealer. I’m getting the usual reasons for waiting - dealers they don’t have a relationship don’t always respond quickly to swaps.

I’m in the NY area - what are my options? I’m only interested in an M40, definitely auto, preferably with Driving Assistance, Shadowline and Premium packages.

Thanks

Z4 M40 build question

I'm (hopefully) moving up from a 430xi convertible to a Z4 M40 - as long as I can find the right vehicle.
I had hoped to get a final edition Z4, but they all seem to be equipped with manual transmission - which I can’t drive.

I have a broker working on one m40 with a slightly better spec (Harman Kardin/19" 799 wheels), and another that a local dealer found that's missing the stereo, remote start, and has 18" 798 (silver) wheels.
My current 430 has 19" wheels (m-sport). I feel like getting 18" wheels on the M40 would be a step down - BUT the cars seem difficult to get and I may have to settle.

Opinions? Recommendations ?
