Howdy, after over a decade and nearly all four years of college (I graduate in a week) my old mb pro retina finally crashed. The repair shop I brought it too concluded it was the motherboard and quoted me $500 for the repair. It seems like a lot and I’m considering replacing my laptop. I like the Apple interface and the Neos fit in my price range - specially with student discounts.

I can’t recall all the specs of my current laptop. It is. 2012-15 Retina Pro with Intel and 200ish GB. I can’t remember the RAM. Is the Neo an upgrade? I mostly internet browse, read and write documents, sometimes record synth music. I realize that it’s been over a decade of technology improvement. I don’t know if I neeeeeed another Pro. Thank you for your input
