Asking some questions/looking for advice

How goes it. So I recently got out of the Marines and have been living in Japan with my wife enjoying life and being a student. I've been looking at how best to utilize my GI bill and find somethings I am truly passionate about and would love doing. I toyed with the idea of electrician vs avionics tech vs robotics tech. I wound up coming back to the idea of getting my A&P license to become an avionics technician seems like something I would really enjoy doing. I was looking into potentially joining the Air National Guard or the AFR to get some experience as an 2A3X5 (believe thats the right MOS code for advanced fighter avionics tech). I guess my real questions are about the experience and would it prep me to transfer to DoD contracting on f35 or gen 5 fighters afterwards? Also just curious about the culture and the difference between reserve and guard etc, reached out to a recruiter to see whats up but figured I would ask first hand for any advice or insights. I would greatly appreciate it thanks!

Asking for advice as a vet - what route to take

Hey guys just reaching out to get some advice ask some questions. I just got out of the Marines and am currently deciding which route to take. Aiming for either Electrician, Robotics tech, or potentially aircraft mechanic/tech. I was an 0311 so don't have any practical work experience yet, however I was looking into aircraft specifically because of contract positions in Japan. Thats where my wife is from and we would like to end up and I love the idea of working for a contractor out here however i'm sure the jobs are highly coveted. In reality i'm willing to get paid less than I would in the US just to wind up back out here (I have my spouse visa and live here now), however I don't want to upend our life and move back stateside just for nothing to materialize and get hr hopes down.

I would just appreciate any advice/insights and appreciate the time, sorry if this is the wrong place to post it.

Asking for advice - market seems very saturated

Just looking for some advice sorry if this is the wrong place to post it. Recently got out of the Marines and I’ve been considering career options. The market seems super saturated but I’m also hearing theres a need for good electricians? I’m specifically interested in WA or CO because that’s where my wife would be happy living. I’m also just curious about the work life balance compared to being a lineman. I want to be around for my family and have a stable career. it’s super frustrating with the state of the job market right now and has been really weighing on me, I would hate to move my family and commit to this thing just to turn around and not be able to get a job. I loved solving puzzles and enjoy hard work. Any advice on the electrician field in general/ how to get started as a veteran would be really appreciated.
