Hi, I’m having ongoing crashing issues that I strongly suspect are related to my GPU (RX 7900 XTX), and I’d really appreciate any help.

Specs:

• GPU: RX 7900 XTX
• CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
• Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK
• RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 (32GB)
• PSU: ASUS TUF GAMING 1000G

Problem:
When gaming, I get random crashes with a consistent pattern:

1. Game freezes
2. Audio continues (YouTube/Discord still playing)
3. Both monitors go black for ~10 seconds
4. Game closes
5. System recovers back to desktop

I also occasionally get visual artifacts

Background:

• GPU worked perfectly when new
• Previously stable with undervolt + overclock
• Crashes started appearing a few years ago
• Underclocking initially helped

Current state:

• GPU underclocked to ~2300 MHz
• No undervolt
• Still crashing

What I’ve tried:

• Underclocking GPU
• Removing undervolt

Additional info:

• PSU is 1000W, so power shouldn’t be an issue
• Crashes happen across multiple games
