I can't read a book and I really want to.

This may sound very weird, but I can't read a book. It doesn't matter how hard I try, I just can't sit, relax, and enjoy a nice book.

Every time I try to read a book, my mind shifts to other stuff that has nothing to do with the book itself. I keep "reading" the page, but I just don't register it, which requires me to read the page over and over until I really understand what I read without my mind shifting all over the place.

The idea of relaxing somewhere in the house or outside, grabbing a nice book and reading the hours away is something I really desire, yet I just can't.

I tried many books, from fiction, non fiction, literature and much more, but I never really "locked in".

Are there others having this and how do I deal with it?
