Class Recommendations for Silly Guy

Gamers, I've come to the experts for, uh. Expert advice.

I have a player who has not found a class that really speaks to him. This campaign started with online friends wanting to try pathfinder, and me willing to try online DMing. We did a "two-shot" in which our player, Silly Guy, decided he did not enjoy playing summoner. The campaign picked up with some new people, and for Silly Guy, a new character. He played a commander, and eventually we respec-ed him to be a fighter with commander archetype.

Commander did not scratch the itch he needed it to, and fighter gave him the good ol' "roll big number" satisfaction.

He is looking to potentially make a new character, one more fleshed out with backstory, but has had issues deciding the class.

Silly Guy is a fun player, but has some difficulty with separating character from himself. Not an issue, we all have gone through this! I act as a source of ideas and he picks and chooses ideas to go with.

To view the "problem" more critically, I think Silly Guy needs to watch videos on breakdowns of classes. I think what has so far happened is that I have pitched a class, but then the mechanics are not as thrilling to him as I envision.

I think the roleplay side of things will take time, but I'm curious if anyone has any views on classes or roleplay ideas that are more stimulating for a player?

Alternatively, I can put subway surfer compilations in my initiative order, but that seems more difficult.

Thank you for any and all help!

Edit: Silly Guy wants to be able to support allies but with commander not doing it for him I am not sure to what extent! Thank you for all the suggestions so far!
