Barclays closed my account when I transferred money
I’ve had a Barclays account for a year which I use at least a few times a month so it’s not inactive recently I transferred £6000 I had spend £1000 on Coinbase which was okay and then when I had opened my online banking it showed £-1000 overdraft when I don’t have an overdraft limit I had called and asked about it they said it’s an issue and will be fixed the next morning I woke up to my Barclays account being suspended so I called and they said it’s just to see where funds came from (I’ve transferred thousands of pounds from my own accounts to Barclays before) they sent me an email about the funds and I filled it in they had told me it would be fixed by today but all of a sudden today when I called they said they have commercially decided to close my account without giving me any reason or any prior warning so my funds are stuck and when I explained to them that I needed my funds and couldn’t go work due to having no accsss to my funds and that I’m at risk of losing my job the lady said I can’t get access to my funds until the “investigation is over” she said go borrow money off someone which is crazy to me I have never had this issue so I called the FOS and they had mentioned that Barclays have wrongfully closed my account without giving any prior warning or giving me any options to accessing my funds or ect, I’m at risk of losing my job due to this what legal action can I take or what happens next ? I have sent them emails of me sending the money from my own bank to my Barclays what do I do or what can I do I’ve also mentioned that it is messing up my mental health as I have bills to pay and ect but they don’t care about the fact that I have my bills to pay and I asked if it were a life or death situation I’d still have to wait the lady said yes in this situation am I in the right ? What legal action can I take or can I demand my money or how do I get back the money in my account as it’s my savings ?
