Video showcasing some extreme fire behavior

I was shown this video which is believed to be from SDU. There’s unfortunately no audio.

This is an excellent showcase for rapidly changing fire behavior. I believe the crew was safe, it’s easy to question why they ran into the green but we weren’t there so we don’t know the facts.

Please openly discuss any thoughts you have in the comments.

EDIT: I guess the fire whirl is not extreme fire behavior, I’ll bite the bullet on that one. Please don’t let the fact that I potentially mischaracterized the fire conditions take away from the video and all of the other talking points lol

I am pinning this for a week for discussion purposes.

How many of you guys on Schedule B Engines are doing 6 Minutes for Safety and / or the Fire Weather Forecast every morning?

If you’re not, don’t ever be afraid to speak up or just ask to read it in the morning. I’ve noticed this start to go away a bit. It’s a great tool and a quick and easy training for us in the morning, regardless if you’re Schedule A or Schedule B.
