How the hell do people get to tritypes?
Three years into the Enneagram and I'm only just getting to grips with the world that is 7; the micro-world that is SX7; the alternative or complementary world that is 7w8; ditto SO-blind 7. (All working hypotheses, btw: I wouldn't be shocked beyond belief if I woke up one day and realised I was an 8, after all.)
Let's say there are 27 subtypes - not a particularly controversial idea. Let's say each subtype has two lines, which they can use in both healthy and unhealthy ways. Isn't that a staggering amount of learning time just to understand the basics? And that's before wings, stackings, age, gender and culture muddy the waters.
I hear people on here merrily talking about their friend who's a 925 and their mother, a 741 etc. Allowing for the fact that this is all guesswork anyway, WTF?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
