Every time I watch the graduation episode, part of me wishes the show had just ended right there. I don’t think the early seasons are perfect. There are plenty of characters and storylines I don’t like. Especially in season 2. But after season 3 it feels like each season gets progressively worse. There are specific moments I’m grateful for. I’m glad we got to see an older more mature Jess. I’m glad we got to see Luke and Lorelai together. I’m glad we got to see Lane and her mom learning to understand each other better and growing closer. But overall, the last 4 seasons are never as fun to watch as the first 3. So some small part of me always wonders if the shows legacy wouldn’t be better off if it had just stopped after 3 seasons.
