How good is Medium?

I am interested in starting to write on Medium.

The reason for this decision is that I'd written on Quora for the past 5 and a half months, seeing no results. As a porfessional writer striving for recognition, I need a platform for this.

So my question is, is Medium good or should I do something else?

What I've found to work great on LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a platform that I've found the most interesting of all.

Especially its algorithm. Essentially what it does is it shows your post's first sample to a snippet of your 1st degree connections, and then distributes it further if it got some engagement (comments being the most valuable).

The format I've been using for a while now is plain text. Trust me, I've experimented with all--carousels, video content, infographics, plain text with or without images wins.

I've found that interesting, personalized stories about yourself work the best on the platform. While some gurus would argue that educational content stays on top, I think that's not true, here's why:

No one cares about you in your initial phases of your content creation.

So posting value doesn't necessarily mean your posts will get read, but posting about yourself with original writing does. How so? Because if you go on LinkedIn right now, you'll see a lot of AI stuff. Posts that probably took around 2 minutes to make. However, as a result, nobody reads them.

So storytelling, and talk about personal life does move the needle.

Let me know your experience with this.

I hate Quora and think it's the most useless social media on earth

I hate Quora and think it's the most useless social media on earth. The reason for these hard feeling is that I'd been posting for 5 months every day, sometimes cranking out even 5 posts a day, growing my account to barely 60 followers. I'm not kidding.

That's after writing for 5 and a half months.

I don't know if it's that this social media is completely dead, or my content is shitty, but something is not right. I wouldn't be angry if I've gotten to at least 500. But 56 followers is mind blowing.

Has any of you experienced the same with Quora and what are your conclusions?

Is being a LinkedIn Ghostwriter even worth it today?

After being a LinkedIn ghostwriter for 3+ months, I don't know what to do. The thing is, LinkedIn's bew algorithm is very complicated, and requires a lot of intricate nurturing, and posting one kind of content.

Also, my engagement is not that good to make the potential clients go "wow" when they wind up on my profile.

Really curious, has anybody been getting business from LinkedIn as Ghostwriter? And how many impressions and reactions do your posts get, as well as what type of content do you post?
