Airport commute friendly rentals near Midtown?
I’m a flight attendant, so I am away a lot and have very limited days and availability to do in person tours. I’d love some help narrowing down a few rental communities.
I currently live in Midtown but need to find a new place by June 15th and am scrambling to find a place and move by things by then - relationship just ended so this is an unplanned and unexpected move.
I’m looking for a less than 25 min commute to the airport in the mornings (my current commute is 15-20 mins from midtown) and my budget is $2000 or under, ideally closer to $1500.
I’d prefer to stay in Midtown if possible, but happy to take suggestions for other neighborhoods with a reasonable commute and walkable to MARTA.
I’ll need a parking space and don’t want to have to worry about my car when I leave it unattended for days at a time when I am away on trips. I know discussing “safe” areas is a touchy topic in this sub, but I can’t take a gun or pepper spray to work, and sometimes I get back 1-2am or leave super early and would love to not have to worry about being exhausted and dragging my luggage around as a single woman living alone.
It’s been about 4 years since I last apt/house hunted so I’m not sure what I should expect to have to pay for admin/app/deposit.
I’m open to a sublease as well if that buys me time before I have to commit to a lease.
