Got accepted to Cal Poly for industrial engineering but recently felt that it wasn't the path for me and wanted to do mechanical engineering instead. How hard will it be switching at Cal Poly? I know that switching from within CENG is easier, but industrial engineering is a less rigourous major to get into, so i am scared it can affect my chances. My grades in high school are really good and probably as rigorous as it can be for STEM. Would it be easier with the semester system? And would I be able to graduate in 4 years?
