Hey, I'm 35/M and I've had this bump on my skin that's been red and inflamed for around a month now. I started out as folliculitis (I think?) and was smaller and now it's gotten bigger (I did think it was ingrown hairs and pulled some hairs out a few weeks ago and think I aggravated it). It doesn't hurt much at all and it started out smaller but has gotten slightly larger and went in this almost elliptical shape now. I noticed that if it's pressed on it the redness disappears so it seems like it blanches.
I've added dates to the images, the first one being the latest and the second being mid April. I'm just wondering if it's a keloid or something else? It's only this singular bump here on my scalp well behind my ear.
I've been using Benzoyl Peroxide but it doesn't seem to be doing much. I just was a bit worried as it looks quite an odd shape and I've not had one like this before. I sometimes get bumps and folliculitis here and there and it usually goes away after a month or two but this one doesn't seem to be improving.
Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!
