had my build locked in for like a month. b650 board, 7600x, rx 7900 gre, the whole thing. felt good about it and was ready to go
then the week i was gonna pull the trigger i fell into a youtube rabbit hole at 1am after playing some Ѕtake and somehow convinced myself to switch to an intel build. different board, different cpu, different ram timings to think about. spent another week on that
then AMD dropped some news and i flipped back. by the time i actually placed the order my list looked nothing like where i started, ended up with a 9700x and a 9070 xt which wasnt even on my radar when i began
the build went fine, zero issues, temps are great. all that constant switching around taught me a lot about what actually matters in a build and what doesnt. all that time researching also meant i knew exactly where to buy each part separately instead of bundling everything from one place, ended up with some extra money left over doing it that way
