rash/redness 3.5wpo
Currently 3.5wpo and after a very smooth recovery so far, I developed a lovely red rash over the weekend. It is not itchy, but it’s slightly warm to the touch. It is also in almost the exact same pattern as my still-healing bruising. My surgeon is aware and asked me to remove all my steri-strips (which I did this morning) and start with hydrocortisone cream and benadryl. I have an appointment with her on Thursday to be evaluated in-person, but I’m trying to decide if I should go to urgent care tomorrow just to be safe. I have had some reactions to medical adhesives in the past so it could be a delayed reaction to tape and/or dermabond, but it’s hard not to feel worried about it! I also have had some bouts of lightheadedness since I took the tape off, and I have two tiny t-junction openings that are now draining slightly with the tape off.
Any words of wisdom, encouragement, and similar experiences would be much appreciated!
