Hello,

Two questions.

Easy one first, we will be moving in 8 months, how is that handled?

I'm pplying for my sons. Gathered the documents and discovered their father's last name is misspelled on his US birth certificate (as well as his father's). It's a common misspelling, missing an f where there should be two. Both have now passed.

Has anyone dealt with this?

I chatted with FBR on line and they were saying I need to apply to have the BC corrected. I'd rather not, spoke with his mother and she claims she never knew. But then FBR said mail them in and we can request more information.

All the other documentation has the correct spelling, except Father's death cert has the wrong last name for his mother.

Need the drama? We were not married, their father married someone else. Both his parents were Irish. His father passed, his mother has many name changes and isn't so good about paperwork (don't bother suggesting her help in any way)

Today is my 3 month anniversary.

I love this car.

Things I was not aware of:

Insurance is high. The likelihood of the car being totaled is higher, so higher insurance.

Charging isn't as cheap as implied, until you learn the ways. And, for me, getting used to the different ways efficiency is measured was bumpy.

I'm in California and our summer energy rates are 0.45/kwh. I was under the impression there was off peak, less expensive charging (I'm sure there must be, right?) but not where I live. I do not have a L2 because I rent, that might change the options.

Range anxiety lessens with time. (See: I don't have L2 at home)

I live across the street from an EA station, so that's available in a pinch and city charging is 4 blocks away for 0.15/kwh @ L2. But mostly I charge free at work, 30 miles away.

My current cost of the equivalent gallon of gas is $0.75 (assumes 27 miles/gal) or $0.03/mile.

Only possible with free charging for 75% of the time. 100% home charging is equivalent to $4.05/gal

But once it all comes together? I got used to filling up with kwh, converting that to % battery and learning my miles/kwh.

I did not factor in the "only use between 20-80% of the battery" ... but my experience is that is advice, not a rule. My rule, if I get home with less than 20%, I need to charge at home. I don't charge at work above 95%, because I will immediately be driving it down at least 10%.

Wyoming doesn't like EVs. Make a plan in advance.

One pedal feels weird at first, but once you adjust, you will find it's hard to switch to ICE cars.

BlueCruise is only worth it if it's free. I live at the end of the Blue Cruise map, your value will be different.

I feel so lucky to get to drive this car. I should have gotten the GT.

I am afraid of having to take it to the stealership for service though...

Today, my Ford app is not showing the charging as it happens. My work charging is not on the Ford network but it usually shows the charge and it shows in charge history. Today, on the charge screen it's just got grey boxes. Earlier, I checked the charge status (it occasionally will fault and not charge, but I think that's the charger, not the monkey, so I keep an eye on it.) and it showed the charge session as 30 min (strange, it was about 3 hrs in) but when I went to end the charge, just grey boxes. It's easier to end the charge in the Ford app, so I usually do it that way. It did let me start the climate) I signed out of the app and resigned in, I force stopped the app and resigned in. No difference.

Other strange thing, as I was pulling into work this morning I got a warning that the pre-collision assist isn't working, but by the time I parked it had cleared. Then this afternoon, when I pulled into a different charger, the sensor that goes off for the little curb in a parking space did not go off (it always has).

Has it become possessed? Are these even related?

I tried out BlueOval. I was at a ChargePoint Level 2. After charging, it said the cost was 4.87 and had everything listed (energy rate, overtime fee, chargepoint fee)

But ford charged me 7.87 and there is no itemized receipt that I can see

Next time I'll take a picture of the screen (this is for 34 kwh, but a 4 hour limit which I went over by 10 min or it would have been $3)

Or should I just use chargepoint?

I don't have home charging and this charger is 4 blocks from home. Free charging at work so most use will be Sunday to cover commute to work on Monday

I saw an ad here yesterday and can't find it now for ev.energy in California. They give you $25 for signing up, 0.2c/kwh rebate for public charging between 10-3 (I think, confirm) up to $15 a month. This is only for 2026.

Anyway, they have a referral program if you share your referral, you will get $25... So does anyone have a referral code? I want to sign up today.

Was out in the sun for 2 hours... It was only 85 out. The seats were so hot, the temp on the screen said 110.

This is the first day I've gotten in and has the hot seats experience.

Any recommendations for windshield sunshade and pano? I love the roof, I was afraid it would be too bright... but summer is coming and it's going to get a lot warmer.

I've had my car for almost 2 weeks. It's a 2024 Premium eAWD... And today it took over on the highway and drove itself... is this some 90 day trial? I didn't register for it. I didn't activate it. Where did it come from?

I do love this car, but I'm afraid I need a Mach-E for dummies guide.

It also seems to have satellite radio..
