In 21 days, I have made some updates. Not particularly because of issues with analytics, I just evolved it a few times.
Why did I change screenshots
I wanted to show a better story of how my app is going to be helpful to users who are out drinking and want to calculate their BAC to both stay healthy and know when they could consider driving. The hope was, showing a cartoon use case scenario can be easily followed and people will see themselves in similar situations. I just changed it so we'll see how this performs.
Why did I change the logo
I wanted to make sure that my app doesn't look like an old generic app. By adding a mascot and a vibrant color theme, I was hoping people would recognize my app much easier. Also I thought it would be easy for story telling. I am not sure if this makes it feel too cutesy considering my target audience may be a bit skewed towards men. After all, men are more likely to engage in heavy drinking and have higher rates of alcohol use disorder. Although, that doesn't automatically determine my user base.
Why did I change the title / subtitle
Originally my title was just "Booze Count". But on another reddit, someone told me I should optimize. I wasn't focused on those things until yesterday, but now I'm doing a bunch of research and that's how I ended up on this page anyway.
What's next for me?
- Header and Search Results screenshots Unsure, but I will try re-working the first screenshot or show the challenge/badge collecting as the main page to let users know about the gamification. Maybe I'll get new ideas and perspectives as I design it.
- Keywords I still don't think I have a final version of the keywords. I'm trying to learn some tools that help with ASO. I don't want to spend a fortune, so I'm going to find some free keywords research tools.
- TikTok Marketing I have some plans for making some TikTok videos "My app making journey blog" or "Funny videos with my app as a story device". I have been seeing some people who allegedly have succeeded in marketing their apps. I'll try something.
Yeah so there it is! any questions, feedbacks, criticisms, words of encouragements, are all welcome!
