Next door kid has been bullying our daughter.
Last week at school, our daughter told us she was dreading the next day because of the kid who lives next door, a supposed friend.
I asked why and she said she always grabs her during P.E and shouts at her for doing things wrong.
Pressed more and she said she actually hit her that past Monday for playing with another kid.
On good terms with the parents, messaged them, they asked, the kid denied anything but they were aware of existing behaviours so they approached the school to find out more. Teacher spoke to both kids, and it turned out, next doors kid wasn't happy my kid had a new friend so poked on her chest and dragged her away telling her this new friend was horrible.
My kid is now extremely anxious about what's gonna happen next, but glad she spoke up.
As the weekend progressed the anxiety worsened, she now started telling me this had been going on for a long time, years, but she's always been scared to say anything, hitting, shouting and controlling behaviours.
I've messaged parents again, explaining they can't hang out anymore as well as contacting school to keep an eye on things and where possible keep them apart.
They've played together for years, had their moments, but between us we never knew this was going on.
I feel terrible for not catching this and doing something earlier.
I hope I'm doing things right and she can re build her confidence.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
